Drugs were always an issue, but for many years it was low-key. However, for the past few years, drugs have become a common menace in the city, and the police have become highly vigilant in the city. With the increasing number of cases of drug peddlers and drug addicts being caught by police, it is an issue that is now on top priority for the police and Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW).And now, to penetrate into schools and colleges, HNEW and the city police have decided to form Anti-Drug Committees (ADCs) in every educational institution in the city very soon. The ADCs will play a key role in monitoring and curbing the consumption and peddling of drugs on the premises and hostels of the institution.The city police and HNEW will be in constant touch with ADCs, and ADCs will create awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse, shares commissioner CV Anand. On its turn, city police will create a public awareness campaign about drug abuse through social media and by visiting educational institutions, bus stops, metro rail, and railway stations.After a few high-profile parties were busted, NCB, DRI, Customs, IB, ED, HNEW, and city police are working in tandem to weed out the problem. They intend to strengthen their coordination to track down narcotics smuggling and peddling gangs to control the inflow and spread into India.The city police have also entered into an MoU with private and government institutions to help drug addicts come out of the habit permanently. A rehabilitation monitoring team has been formed by the city police, who will act as change agents and monitor the rehabilitation process.The Institute of Mental Health, Erragadda, Asha Group of Hospitals, Phoenix Rehab Services, and Amrita Foundation Society are partnering with city police.

T-Hub was started as a 70,000 sq ft building when it was once started inside a building inside the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Gachibowli. Today, it has grown to a size of 3,70,000 sq ft in the middle of the technology hub in Raidurg.T-Hub 2.0 will be five times bigger in size and shape, and the first phase of T-Hub contributed immensely to the new venture. If one goes back in time, T-Hub was started after MA &amp; UD minister KT Rama Rao met with entrepreneurs working out of ISB. When he asked them about the challenges they faced, they told him about the steep prices of office spaces in Cyberabad. That’s when the thought of having a building that offers office desks at nominal rates came up, shares Jayesh Ranjan, principal secretary, IT and Industries.Over the years, T-Hub has transformed into an accelerator and incubator space for start-ups. Since 2015, T-Hub has supported 1100 start-ups that have raised Rs 10,000 crore from the funding ecosystem. Out of them, two have become unicorns, and 8-10 are in the soonicorns stage.With time, the demand for accelerator and incubator space increased, and the government has now decided to build T-Hub 2.0. From July 1, 215 start-ups will move into the new building, and 2,3 venture capitalists have already booked their seats in the building. The old T-Hub will be returned to IIIT-H, and two corporates have already signed an agreement to set up their office there.The 10-floor building will have a dedicated floor for Venture Capital companies. The space will be offered free of cost. Partner organizations like Telangana State Innovation Cell will set up full-fledged offices there. Centers of excellence like the cybersecurity CoE will take up space.

Sakshee happens to be an IIT computer science graduate who is presently in the US to upscale her business and to understand trends in international markets.Sakshee believes in combining ayurvedic and modern skin care techniques to ensure skin-friendly products. She is probably one of the first persons to introduce whipped cream soaps to Hyderabad. She explains the process crisply – one has to take plant-based ingredients, homogenizing them at suitable temperatures, and then integrating them with extracts to make a perfect blend of whipped soap.Sakshee says the idea of fancy-looking soaps attracted her a lot. She then did intensive research and realized how they could be made healthy and excellent for the skin. The bottom-line is the effective formulation, she says. Sakshee also conducts workshops in soap-making to teach the secret of making exotic and skin-friendly soaps.While regular soaps wipe the moisture off the skin, whipped cream soaps are natural and offer great benefits to the skin. They contain humectants like glycerine to keep the skin nourished, and at the same time, it does the cleansing and foaming that regular soaps do.Sakshee says rose happens to be the classiest and preferred by most of her clients, while mango and coffee are popular too.

Not allowing a pregnant lady into the hospital lift led to the death of her unborn baby. The incident happened at Imtiyaz Hospital in the old city of Hyderabad. Reportedly, the pregnant came to the hospital with labor pains in an emergency condition. Still, she was not allowed to enter the hospital lift as the authorities kept a display saying that the lift was not for patients.Those eyewitnesses at the hospital say that after repeated requests, the hospital staff refused the woman to enter the hospital lift, due to which she lost her unborn baby. The victims have filed a case at a nearby police station against the hospital management as they lost the baby due to staff negligence.As per the reports, the pregnant woman was admitted to the hospital and given an injection and kept in observation, but later the doctors and the hospital staff turned busy with the birthday celebrations of one of the staff members. As the entire hospital staff was in celebrations mood, none of them asked whereabouts of the admitted lady.Later, as the lady got labor pains, her family tried to take her to the doctor on the top floor through the lift, but the staff had not allowed her to enter the lift, so she lost her unborn baby. Police lodged a complaint against Imtiyaz Hospital staff, and the investigation continues.

But even during the initial days, Uttam Reddy would deliver to nearby places, trying to popularise it among food lovers.Today, RR also serves some Andhra and Telangana dishes that Uttam added as part of the menu after talking to chefs from the respective regions. However, he was unsure if he wanted to continue with the business during the initial days. But destiny seems to have decided for him.Like all establishments in the F&amp;B industry, Rayalaseema Ruchulu, too, had its highs and lows during the pandemic. They had to shut off four restaurants and let go of staff and chefs. But, on the other hand, they expanded to Jubilee Hills, HITEC city, and Ameerpet. And now, he plans to expand to Begumpet, Secunderabad, and Kondapur.He shares on a parting note that the pandemic had taught him to be more tolerant, patient, and grounded than ever.

Other works to deal with all issues pertaining to nalas in the city to mitigate adversities on account of heavy rains are underway.Additionally, for the safety of people during monsoons, many storm water drains have been covered with pre-cast slabs, and some drains have been lined with link mesh. At some storm water drains that are deep, banners were also displayed to alert people. A Series of works undertaken to end the issue of urban flooding in the city does not end here. Many works are underway at lakes and other water bodies as the waters rise during monsoons wreaking havoc in the neighboring areas.

Housing Has Turned Big and Spacious in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is gaining prominence in the world trade scenario by gaining one business after another. Almost all the major IT giants have their second biggest offices in and around Hyderabad. Now the big news is that the world’s biggest world trade center (WTC) is coming up in Hyderabad. The center, which will come up near Shamshabad, will be spread across 50 to 60 acres.The construction work will begin in 2025, and it is expected to be completed by 2035. The groundwork for the same is already being carried out. In terms of space, India’s largest WTC is in Noida, which is part of the National Capital Region. As of now, it is the biggest WTC in the world. The WTC is spread across 44 acres. In second place is Beijing’s WTC which is spread out over 43 acres.However, in Shamshabad, the structures would not be vertical as it is in the airport zone. Instead, they will be built horizontally with 12 floors each. Rs 4000 crore will be spent on the construction of this world trade center. Adjoining it will be a hotel with 225 rooms and service apartments. The construction work will be taken up in phases and will go on till 2035.Already, 15 acres have been acquired for the purpose. Efforts are on to procure the remaining land. Also, the company that will be constructing WTC in Hyderabad will also work on WTC in Rishikonda in Vizag. The WTC in Vizag will be spread across 20 lakh sq ft.

Their company has built a product that caters to the needs of sales and marketing teams of the medical devices companies. Using AR technology, medical device companies can train their sales and marketing teams and demonstrate their products virtually.While the sisters started by creating gaming experiences for students, they eventually found the right product in the medical devices space. Both the sisters are well-accomplished; while Ramya is a doctor and an alumnus of ISB, her sister is a designer who is also an MBA.The T-Hub incubated company in 2017, NexRea has worked with GE Healthcare, Johnson and Johnson, and Seimens, among others. Their proprietary AR platform MEDREA offers a customized app to the clients that use technologies like 3D solutions and an interactive virtual environment where one can interact with the displayed product. The medical representative will not have to carry devices physically to showcase operations, dimensions, and usage.Doctors can get trained virtually through their platform, and the sisters share that virtual calls were happening throughout COVID times. By constantly tweaking their products, the start-up has allowed their clients to play around with the product. It also helps diagnose any problem with the medical devices remotely and provides real-time collaboration with experts.The start-up is also a part of WE Hub and IIIT-H and has more than 10 clients from countries like Singapore, South Korea, Germany, and India.

Medical Devices Tech Start-up Launched by City Sisters

Do you have any junk in your house? Commissioner Lokesh Kumar tells the public not to dump it and GHMC Swachh autos would come to your house to collect junk. Orders were issued to the officers. Accordingly, GHMC Amberpet Circle officials have formulated a special activity. As per the directions, the Sanitation Supervisors working in the six divisions under the circle are informing the people of the respective divisions about the same.&nbsp;They are campaigning to give any unused and junk items in the house. People are being asked to come forward and give away things like damaged refrigerators, sofa sets, dining tables, chairs, plastic items, clothing, and any other items if they are lying unused. The staff is taking them in a Swachh auto. Authorities launched the special drive in the wake of a clean-up operation currently underway in the city.&nbsp;As part of this, waste items, coolers, cushions, clothing, non-functioning electronic items, broken chairs as well as junk were collected at Batukammakunta Saimadhuranagar in Bagh Amberpet Division on Monday. The Corporation will hand over these items to the companies that recycle and will dispose of the junk that will not be of any use without harming the environment.
