A tragedy took place at Kukatpally in Hyderabad. The incident took place on Tuesday in Satavahanagar where a four-year-old child was killed when a slab of a penthouse under construction broke. Going into details, Sunil Kumar and Looth Mary, a couple from Medikondur, Guntur district, migrated to Hyderabad some years ago.

They have a son, and daughter Sharon Dithya (4). They run a bakery in Kukatpally's HMT Satavahana Nagar. On Tuesday morning, Mary went with her daughter to the Tiffin Center next door to pick up breakfast. On the way back home, while removing the centering sticks to the penthouse under construction on the building next to the bakery, the slab broke and the wreckage fell on the mother and daughter.

The child died on the spot in the incident. Mary also suffered minor injuries. Another boy, who was riding a bicycle, was also injured in the incident, locals said. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and examined it. GHMC, Kukatpally Circle officials along with their staff reached there and removed the penthouse.
