Spanish aircraft engine and components manufacturer ITP Aero, an arm and 100% subsidiary of the famous Rolls Royce UK has set up a new manufacturing facility at IDA Gandhinagar in Hyderabad. The facility will be dedicated exclusively to the production of end-fittings and brackets for subsequent welding onto rigid tubes for aircraft engines.
Besides India, ITP Aero has facilities in UK, Mexico, and Malta and is a One Billion Dollars turnover company. The inauguration event was attended by Telangana director of aerospace and defense Praveen PA, in the presence of Jesus Catalina as well as ITP Aero’s head of industrial development Cepas Odriozola and ITP Externals India managing director Vamsi Vikas.
This facility comes with a manufacturing capacity of 2.5 lakh units of components per annum. Currently, it employs over 160 people in Hyderabad, which includes about 25 in the office and 135 in the manufacturing facility. The company expects demand to rise in the next three years. Accordingly, the production capacity and the recruitment of skilled workforce will be increased as well.
