The NTR Stadium in the heart of the city today has been turned into an illegal parking yard and dumping yard. Hundreds of young men and women come to the stadium every day to exercise. Unemployed people also receive special training at the stadium. But the relevant authorities who are supposed to keep such a stadium clean are turning blind eye to it.

In addition to this, the gates around the stadium have also been broken and private vehicles are being illegally parked here at will. Some people are dumping the waste in their houses in the stadium and the entire place is always dirty and reeking of negligence. Locals are demanding that the concerned department officials should respond and take action.

"We will clean the stadium. In the past, GHMC used to operate the stadium. It is now under the purview of the Department of Tourism. Due to the lack of gates to the stadium, private individuals are making illegal parking. We will take action," AMHO Dr. H Maitreyi said.
