On Sunday, as many as four trees in Mahabubnagar, aged over 100 years, were successfully translocated. The trees were translocated to KCR Eco-Park from the Roads and Buildings guest house in Mahabubnagar.
The translocation became important as the new integrated market is being constructed on the premises of the R&B guesthouse. The translocation and plantation happened under the supervision of Mahabubnagar district Collector S Venkat Rao and Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud.
The Collector and Minister appreciated the efforts of the Green India Challenge, Public Health EE Vijaya Bhaskar, VATA Foundation, and other engineering staff. They played a crucial role in translocating the trees.
The trees were translocated without any damage, and locals appreciated the efforts of Rajya Sabha member Joginpally Santosh Kumar and Green India Challenge founder.
