SHE Teams have nabbed a man for blackmailing a budding film actress in the name of nude pics. With the help of technology, this guy collected the phone number of an actress from the Telugu film industry and started harassing her. He reportedly collected her phone number through an app called Star Makers. He sent obscene messages to the phone number and harassed her.He not only used obscene language but also made occasional phone calls to her, threatening to upload nude photos of her on social media every time she cut him off. The actress was into depression worried about her career and family if the pictures really come out. She remained silent worried about her career if things like this came out.&nbsp;However, as his harassment intensified, she reached out to the SHE teams of the Hyderabad police with a complaint. They traced his number and arrested him. SHE teams appeal to women to reach out to them in such instances. "If you are worried about revealing your identity, we will also take anonymous complaints," they assured. Only in the months of March and April, SHE teams have got 355 such complaints, the department reveals.

MA&amp;UD minister KT Rama Rao will be inaugurating the newly completed 5 Foot-over-Bridges (FoBs) soon. Once open, the bridges will help pedestrians cross roads without the hassle of facing speeding traffic, thus avoiding road accidents.Following requests from Hyderabad and Cyberabad police commissionerates, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) took up the construction of 22 FoBs at major junctions that were identified as accident-prone zones.The five completed FoBs are situated near Hyderabad Central in Punjagutta, St Ann’s High School in Secunderabad, Neredmet bus stop, Swapna theatre in Rajendra Nagar, and near NSSK High School in Ferozguda.For all the five FoBs, works on walkways, staircase erection, roof sheeting, mild steel railing, the crash barrier, and flooring were completed. Lifts and escalators were also installed, with the costs adding up to Rs 16 crore.GHMC Engineer-in-Chief Mohd Ziauddin shares that GHMC took up the project to safely help pedestrians cross the roads. The FoBs would help pedestrians circumvent the streets completely, especially in busy areas with markets and malls, he adds.The state government has opted for a public-private partnership (PPP) agreement to build these as it is against the exploitation of FoBs through advertisements. Various departments have been asked to build FoBs from their budget as advertisements would make FoBs uglier.

Hyderabad Gets 5 New Foot-over-Bridges

The RTC has made midnight services available under the name Night Riders. After 12.15, special trips are being conducted on Route 219 (Secunderabad - Patancheru) on an experimental basis. The RTC hopes to run Night Riders buses on more routes depending on the demand. Usually, RTC's last service departs at 10 PM and by midnight, the buses go to the depots.RTC is planning another shift from 10 PM to 4 AM. This will be helpful for employees working Night shifts and for all those who want to enjoy the nightlife in the city. These services will also cut down the dependence on unreliable cab facilities at night. The charges in these times will be high. Passes will be valid on these buses.Greater RTC ED Yadagiri, however, said that bus pass users must show their identity cards along with the pass. If you do not have an ID card, you need to take a ticket. Bus pass users traveling without an ID card will be fined Rs 500. Based on a survey by depot managers, RTC is planning to run these buses from Hayathnagar to Patancheru, and other high-density routes such as Mehdipatnam to Uppal X Road and Koti to Lingampally via Mehdipatnam

A gang led by a woman who posed as someone possessing magical powers to multiply money has been arrested in the city. The gang claimed that their leader had special powers through which she could multiply money and cheat people. They were arrested by Meerpet police a couple of days back.The six-member gang would draw the attention of gullible people and then use diversion tactics to run away from the place. Rupees 1 lakh, chili powder, and other valuables worth Rs 3.5 lakh were recovered from them when they were arrested.Those arrested included Chand Sultana from Aghapura, Mohd Khan from Bahadurpura, P Vinod from Chaderghat, M Raju from Goshamahal, and D Srinivas from Jiyaguda, and Shaik Imran from Jahanuma.According to the police, it was Sultana (50) who claimed that she had magical powers to multiply money, and then the team laid a trap for innocent people. Using the same modus operandi, the team cheated people to the tune of several lakh on the pretext of performing rituals. They then took the money and, after diverting their attention, fled the scene.

It can morph authentic-looking speeches with a single video clip of a human or digital avatar. And this, the app can do within minutes in the language of your choice. For example, if it is integrated into Netflix, then you can have the luxury of watching the movie of your choice in the language of your choice.NeuralSync’s Way2Lip is a compact video editor with an AI algorithm that is trained to generate accurate lip movement based on the target’s speech. Apparently, the project is already a hit as per NeuralSync’s software developers Rudrabha Mukhopadhyay and Prajwal KR and CEO Pavan Reddy.They reveal that they have already been getting offers worth several thousands of dollars. Incidentally, the US-patented technology owned by IIIT-H was invented by Rudrabha, Prajwal, Prof C Jawahar, and Prof Vinay Namboodiri.As of now, the app takes 45 seconds to make one minute of video, and they say they are working on bringing down the time to 15-20 seconds. This also means that the operating costs will be cut down drastically. Just about all European and Asian languages can be dubbed using the app, though for now, Mandarin is a challenge to it.NeuralSync is pretty clear with regards to its future direction and says they are now keen on targeting e-learning entities to create e-learning videos and marketing video films. Then, they are also in talks with a few metaverse companies in China. However, their ultimate goal is films, for which they will create their product in a small Google Chrome extension. They have already made a pact with a Bollywood producer to execute a few scenes.

Electric auto services have been launched under the name Metro Ride for Metro commuters. These autos have been made available to reach the destination from the metro station. These are expected to improve last-mile connectivity from the stations. Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy flagged off them at the Parade Ground Metro Station.Speaking on the occasion, Metro MD NVS Reddy said that the fares in Metro Autos are much lower than in private autos. He said that a loss of Rs 3,000 crore was incurred for the Metro due to Corona. The number of passengers before Corona was 4 lakhs and he clarified that at present 2.7 lakh people are traveling in the metro every day.He also said that the focus is on the construction of Metro Phase-2. "Metro train services to Shamshabad Airport will be extended in Phase-2. Plans have been drawn up for the construction of Metro Phase-2 at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore. We are also ready to invest further. Anyone could come and participate in this project," NVS Reddy said.
