Admission to the Salarjung Museum will be free of charge for a week from the 16th to the 21st of this month, said Nagender Reddy, director of the museum. Museum Director Nagender Reddy said that International Museum Day will be celebrated on the 18th of this month at the Salarjung Museum in Hyderabad. Appropriate arrangements are being made for this.
From the 16th to the 21st of this month, the celebrations will take place on weekdays. Nagender Reddy revealed the details of Museum Day. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, various events are organized on weekdays. During this week, visitors can view the Salarjung Museum for free with their cameras. The museum will be open from ten o'clock in the morning until nine at night. Private companies can also bring in tourists for free. The museum will be decorated to look beautiful even at night. To mark the 75th Independence Day of India, a special exhibition with 75 items is being set up.
School children will be trained in arts, crafts, drawing, etc. There will be a one-day workshop/presentation and lecture on Bidri making. A special art exhibition is also being organized by 75 artists from the Hyderabad Art Society. In collaboration with Bhagyanagar Photo Art Club, there will be a competition in photography on museum objects. There will also be a cash prize for the winners. Photo Point / Selfie Point is being set up at two locations under the name I Love ‘SJM’. Special arrangements will be made for the disabled and orphaned students. He explained that there will be programs by folk artists under the auspices of the Telangana State Department of Language and Culture.
