Huge fountains in front of Las Vegas Resorts and Dubai's Burj Khalifa are very appealing to tourists. Now the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) is making arrangements to make Hyderabad a delight for tourists with something similar. ITDC is going to set up a huge fountain show in an area of about half an acre in the waters of Sagar.
It was decided to set it up in the Hussain Sagar water just behind the huge national flag in Sanjeevaoah Park. Indian Tourism Development Corporation will spend Rs 47 crore for this. A company has already prepared a digital prototype of the project. It is learned that the tender process will be completed within a month and the work will start immediately.
This huge fountain system is formed on floating jets in the Hussain Sagar waters. Thousands of water 'nozzles' are installed and connected to motors to pump water up to a height of about 500 feet. The water will take delightful shapes making them a visual delight. There will also be music and lighting arrangements. The laser beams that fall on the water shapes make them more beautiful.
