Local BJP is trying to gain mileage by generating a buzz around the upcoming national executive committee (NEC) meeting by asking UP CM Adityanath to visit Bhagyalakshmi temple in Charminar during his visit here.The temple is adjacent to the south-eastern minar of the iconic Charminar. The area is presently a contentious issue as AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi is against any move to reconstruct the temple.The local BJP leaders say they got the nod from Yogi, saying he will visit the temple on July 2. BJP’s NEC will be held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) in the city’s tech hub on July 2 and July 3. It will be attended by a whole gamut of leaders and big wigs of the party, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Meanwhile, the local BJP is trying to gain maximum mileage from Yogi’s visit to the temple, which has become a rallying point for the state BJP. In the past, Yogi was in town prior to the civic polls, where BJP put up a tough fight with TRS, almost winning the Mayor’s post.&nbsp;It is known that BJP’s state president Bandi Sanjay has made the Bhagyalakshmi temple a focal point by starting many events from the temple. During the civic poll campaign, Amit Shah visited the temple to offer prayers. Though Yogi did not visit the temple then, he did say that Hyderabad’s name would be changed to Bhagyanagar.

The civic authorities are making all efforts to improve tree spread by planting saplings at each event. And to add to this and make a small contribution of their own, ten women traveled to a village 25 km from Hyderabad to plant 250 saplings.The group of 10 from Akhila Bharatiya Digamber Jain Mahila Parishad, Hyderabad, inspired 100 volunteers to join the plantation drive at Gonglur. In a day-long drive, they planted 250 saplings of neem, peepal, mango, custard apple, and guava. One of the ladies shared that the idea was to increase the green cover in the village and allow for a participatory family activity so that children are sensitized about the issue.Another lady shared that the trip helped them understand the background and daily lives of villagers. Our presence also helped them promote their local handmade goods industry, she said. Incidentally, the village was adopted by the Hyderabad Income Tax department in 2019. Since then, over 5000 trees have been planted in a move towards reforestation.Also, with the contributions of IRS officers, including their top brass, Gandhi Gram Seva Kendra was established in the village that helped women to start cottage industries that produce cold-pressed oils, handmade soaps, and pulses via traditional pounding methods. The women also make organic dal.The group also helped underprivileged children in Chandanagar by giving them food. Soon, they will be distributing stationery and educational games.

Yadamma is also well aware of all Telangana food dishes and hence brought on board for the Hyderabad BJP committed as a chef. City Start-ups Shot to Fame and Money in One Go

Navarasas are part of the traditional dance repertoire of India. It is an evolved and highly placed with regards to a classical performance. However, when your perspective changes, the way of emoting navarasas changes too. This was witnessed by the Hyderabadi audience one fine evening. In this instance, the navarasas were performed by members of the transgender community, who used them to tell their stories.Given that it was not a ‘normal’ performance, the motley of performers was anything but artists. However, when the director of the play Sharanya Ramprakash, thought of the play, it was a raw concept, just like the unexplored talent of her students in a workshop she did with transgender people.Surprisingly, no auditions were conducted for the play, and Sharanya went along with the people who showed interest in being part of the play. “During the six-month workshops, the members did a lot of improvs. In the end, we discovered we had a lot more stories, so much material, and drama,” shares Sharanya.However, not everything was smooth sailing. Being a marginalized community, coming for rehearsals was a problem as the members faced issues taking public transport. One girl lost her leg due to an accident. But a few organizations came forward to give them space to rehearse.The first-of-its-kind play was enacted at Rangabhoomi Spaces; Gachibowli and the members narrated their own stories through each rasa. One girl laughs at the audience as it’s different for them to showcase haasya. Another one showcasing Adbhuta narrates the experience of wearing a saree for the first time.The audience was totally engrossed in the play, and many took selfies with the artists post-show. The director says they were offered designer shoes and ice cream too.

The young teenager Hemesh Chadalavada is mostly into building gadgets and software that help solve real-world problems and has some interesting ideas for the future.Hemesh is the mind behind a wristband for the elderly, seatbelt, and accident notifier. Apart from these, he has many other ideas. To add to this, he is also a programmer and an innovator. However, he calls himself a ‘maker.’He has been experimenting with various technologies and has entered the world of coding too. He says how changing a few lines in a code can change an entire algorithm. He says creating videos and posting them online on YouTube helped him understand the entire content creation landscape of India. This helped him launch CreatoWIse, a platform for content creators to optimize their content and grow their audience on YouTube. He also launched an app called GPT 3 with the help of AI technology.This helps YouTube creators to reach out to more people and grow their audiences. As for being part of the Redraw initiative by Cartoon Network, he says he is indeed happy to be a part of it and adds that it will give kids like him to think out of the box.In the coming years, Hemesh wants to explore the field of software networking and coding. But his interest now lies in robotics and hardware technologies. He says he will work on them soon and build something on that domain.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be holding its National Executive Committee (NEC) in the city. The three-day meet starting on June 2 will see members from all over the state visiting the city. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding a public meeting during the meet. And the local BJP leaders are leaving no stone unturned to make the meet ‘tasty.’While all food served will be vegetarian as many members do not eat non-veg during the month of aashadam, special satvik food will also be served as some members do not eat onion and garlic during the time.The Telangana BJP leaders have made arrangements for the delegates who will be staying in the city for the next few days. That will be the time when they will get to taste the delicacies of the famous dishes from the state.As per party sources, delegates will be served Telangana food on July 3. The menu includes ambali, sakinalu, jonna rotte, garelu, sarva pindi, murkulu, pachi pulusu, dosakaya pappu, ulavacharu, mamidikaya thokku, chikkudukaya kura, alugadda kurma among others.On the first day, food of all varieties will be served to the attendees. They will get to eat food they eat in their own states, say local BJP leaders. The NEC is scheduled to be held on July 2 and 3, followed by PM addressing the meeting.The party leaders have already started coming into the city. Party president JP Nadda will be coming on July 1. Other important leaders, CMs, and union ministers will reach out on July 2.

Hyderabad-based young boy, Agastya Jaiswal, becomes the first boy in India to complete his intermediate i.,e 12th standard in two streams. As per the reports, Agastya Jaiswal cleared BiPc (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and CEC (Civics, Economics, Commerce) in a single attempt.In the announced intermediate results by the TS government, Agastya Jaiswal cleared the 2nd year examination in BiPc with 81 percent from Sri Chandra College. Reportedly, when he was 11 years old, Agastya was the youngest boy in Telangana to pass the intermediate examination in CEC from a private College.At the age of 14 years in 2020, Agastya Jaiswal created a record as the youngest boy in India to complete graduation in BA Mass-communication and Journalism. Earlier, at the age of just nine years, Agastya became the youngest boy in Telangana to pass SSC.Speaking about his rare record, Agastya thanked the government of Telangana for his accomplishment. Apart from superb performance in his studies, Agastya is also doing a superb job in playing games. Kalakriti Art Gallery hosts a solo contemporary ceramic exhibition by artist Vinod Daroz. The show titled Aikyam: Oneness is the artist’s way of presenting men and women.Daroz, who happens to be from Telangana, went to study fine arts at Baroda University in 1993. Sculpture was his major subject, while pottery and ceramic were his minor subjects. And that’s when his fascination with ceramics started. His art teacher also encouraged him to pursue ceramic art, today, he is established in his art form.Of course, during the initial days, it was a challenge for Daroz, as setting up a ceramic studio means lots of money. Luckily for him, he got to work at a private studio set up by an industrialist during the initial years of his career. Later, Daroz set up his ceramic studio.The work at Kalakriti Art Gallery is mainly inspired by south Indian temples and household items like mortar and pestle. Daroz has been working on ceramics for more than eight years and shares that whenever he sees something new, he does not get bored. The main theme of his show is Shivling.However, Daroz says instead of depicting it directly, he uses mortar and pestle, which is a symbolic way of presenting men and women. Butterflies signify women and rebirth, he adds. He confesses he likes Indian textiles too for inspiration, as was his family jewelry business.That’s probably one of the reasons why he uses a lot of gold in his work.Ceramic is made of clay, and Daroz uses four types of clay for his works. One comes from Gujarat, another from the UK, depending on the work. Similarly, he uses metallic oxides for color. He uses cobalt oxide for blue and copper oxide for red and green.But Daroz is a happy man. He says the ceramic business is growing in India, though it has always been a part of Indian crafts. However, people slowly look at it as an art form, which wraps up Daroz.

Ceramic Artist from Hyderabad Celebrates ‘Oneness’

It helps people to connect with their inner consciousness and leads to the creation of a caring society that transcends borders. The Secunderabad located cultural space had day-long events to mark the occasion.The event was started by lighting the lamp by Harikrishna Mamidi, director of the Department of Language and Culture. Various prominent people, along with those associated with culture, were present at the event. The place was full of visitors, performers, and patrons, which added color to the celebrations.The first performance was an invocation by Pranav and Purnima, followed by a Kathak performance, where the performances explained the nuances of the dance form. There was a Kalaripayatu performance by disciples of Jitender and ghazals by Seema Gupta. Urdu poetry was recited by those learning Urdu at Our Sacred Space. There were musicals that made use of didgeridoo, djembe, hand pan, etc. Hyderabad Storytellers Association narrated stories, and the classical concert by Ravi Kulottama Rao was one of the highlights of the day.There were also Kuchipudi, Tai Chi and Bharatanatyam performance by Ananda Shankar Jayant. There was a play, Nanga Raja, staged by Bhumika Theatre, and the evening ended with Salsa social by students of Nitish.There were food stalls and various handicraft and handloom stalls, stalls of ethnic jewelry, and baked confectionaries.
