A cycling enthusiast named Macharla Venkatesh achieved his dream of going on a cycle expedition to Leh in little more than 25 days. Reportedly, this seventeen-year-old from Patancheru fulfilled his dream by starting his journey on May 23rd and returned back on June 17th.
Getting into details, in his 2713 kilometers journey, Venkatesh covered eleven states crossing 11 states on his 2,713-kilometer journey. Being a butcher by profession, Venkatesh saved earnings for the past four years to meet the expenses of the trip. Before leaving for Leh, Venkatesh went on a cycle expedition to Kanyakumari as a test drive. A 55-year-old Parimal Kanji from Kolkata who had a cycle expedition last year is said to be an inspiration for this young Boy.
Venkatesh revealed that he used to travel between 75 and 130 kilometers per day and used to stay nights at petrol pumps. Carried a first aid kit throughout the journey and even had a helmet and hand gloves as safety precautions. Shared his experience after reaching Leh as outstanding with snowy mountains and clear waterfalls.
