The construction work of T-Works is in the final stages in Madhapur, and it is set to become the next big thing in Telangana. An initiative of the state government, T-Works is a 78,000 sq ft facility in Hyderabad and will be India’s largest platform for prototype development.
The state-of-art facility will provide industry-grade tools and equipment for additive prototyping, electronics workstation, finish shop, laser cutting and engraving, PCB fabrication, pottery, pre-compliance, metal shop, weld shop, and woodworking.
The facility will be inaugurated in September and will complement T-Hub, the world’s largest innovation campus. The main objective of T-Works is to create and celebrate a culture of hobbyists, makers, and innovators in India who will explore, experiment, and create a diverse community of volunteers, engineers, artists, designers, service providers, and other stakeholders for prototyping development.“
We have invested close to Rs 100 crore for this prestigious project to provide talent development and upskilling opportunities for the community,” shares Jayesh Ranjan, principal secretary, IT & Industries. T Works would enable enthusiasts to develop prototypes, a range of tools, and a diverse community of experts. It will help members to showcase skills and transition from prototypes to products.
The unmanned aerial vehicle initiatives at T Works are focused on adopting new technologies and focus on research on the development of low cost. T Works aims to lower barriers by sharing designs, technologies, and best practices for anyone to build UAVs quickly at a low cost to accelerate adoption.
