As a piece of sad news, Telugu news reporting journalist Zameeruddin on Wednesday washed away in flood waters in Jagtial district, Telangana. Reports suggest that after covering the rescue operation of nine daily wage workers who were struck in Godavari water at Bornapalli by the NDRF team, Zameeruddin along with his friend Lateef were returning, but the overflow of flood water between Ramojipet and Bhupatipur villages the car which is being traveled by the duo washed away.
According to media reports, the incident occurred between Ramojipet and Bhupatipur villages in the Raikal Mandal late Tuesday when they tried to cross a flooded bridge over a stream, and their car turned turtle and fell off a bridge and was swept away by swirling waters. Reportedly, the incident happened when they tried to cross a flooded bridge that is present between Ramojipet and Bhupatipur villages in the Raikal Mandal in Jagtial.
While Lateef managed to open the car door and escaped by holding a tree, Zameeruddin slipped into the water, say reports. The police and the NDRF teams are searching for the whereabouts of Zameeruddin, but due to the excess water flow in the nearby villages, there are unable to track Zameeruddin, say sources.
