A Nepali couple, who had joined as servants in a house in Gachibowli committed a massive robbery and fled. The owners of the house went to visit Srisailam Mallanna and demolished the house. Fifteen lakhs and 1.2 kg of gold jewelry were stolen. According to Rayadurg Inspector Rajagopal Reddy, Biram Govinda Rao, a prominent businessman, lives in Gachibowli's Telecom Nagar.
He rented the third floor of his three-story building and stays with the family on two floors. Pavitra (30) and Laxman (34), a couple from Nepal, joined the work at his house four months ago. The Govinda Rao family trusted the couple completely as they were working faithfully. The Govinda Rao family along with their rented family went to Srisailam Mallanna Darshan at 11 am on Saturday. The servants were told to take care of the house.
The Nepali couple, who were waiting for it, executed a midnight burglary plan on the day the owner's family left. The main power switch in the house was switched off and the CCTV cameras were not working. They removed window grills and entered the house. Opening the locker in the bedroom, they looted 1.2 kg of gold jewelry and 15 lakh Rupees and fled from there.
Govinda Rao phoned the watchman from Srisailam at 10 am on Sunday and the mobile is switched off. He phoned a friend next door only to find the watchman couple missing. Govinda Rao's family reached home at 7 PM on Sunday only to find the window grills and bedroom locker left open. The case is being investigated.
