Hyderabad
On Saturday, Srinivasulu stitched a blouse for his wife on her request. However, she did not like the blouse fittings, and this led to an argument between wife and husband. In the heat of the moment, Srinivasulu asked his wife to remove the stitches and stitch the blouse herself. Hurt by this, Vijayalakshmi committed suicide by hanging herself to the fan in the bedroom. When their children came back from school, they could not get the bedroom door open. Later, Srinivasulu came home and forced the door open to find Vijayalakshmi hanging and dead.
The locals intimated Amberpet police, and the police are conducting an inquiry.
Vijayalakshmi (35) was a housewife from Golnaka Tirumala Nagar in Hyderabad. She and her husband Srinivasulu have two children, and Srinivasulu would sell sarees and material by going house to house on his bike. He would also take up stitching work at home.
Of late, suicides have become a huge issue. While farmers’ suicides are reported almost daily, the number of students and educated people taking their lives over small issues and lacking the necessary life skills to tackle an issue head-on has led to suicides in most cases. The reason could be big or trivial, but more and more people are resorting to suicide these days.
