Hyderabad
Lack of security and dysfunctional CCTV cameras have become a boon to thieves at Metro Stations. As soon as the vehicle was parked in the parking lot, the thieves break open the locks and steal the vehicles. Everyday city dwellers travel on the metro on various assignments. Passengers park their two-wheelers in the metro parking lot on the station premises.
No staff is assigned to guard the parking lot. Similarly, CCTV cameras in metro parking spaces are also not working properly. Several police complaints were registered but the investigation is not happening on expected lines as the CCTV cameras in the metro station are not working. Metro officials are avoiding responsibility saying that owners can park their vehicles at their own risk.
But riders are fuming at their irresponsible answers. "Hyderabad Metro can not move from their responsibility without security and proper CCTV cameras. Metro is a big brand across the country and these irresponsible comments will only bring disdain to the brand," commuters say.
