On Tuesday, Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing busted a drug racket and arrested five drug peddlers in Madhuranagar. The authorities have recovered 36 g of Methamphetamine worth Rs 2 lakhs from their possession. The Narcotics Enforcement Wing has handed over the accused to SR Nagar police for further investigation.

SR Nagar police and the Narcotics Enforcement Wing conducted a raid, acting on a tip-off, and nabbed the peddlers.

According to police, prime members of the drug racket gang, Balaji from Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh and Naveen from Chennai, are absconding.

The police also said that Bala Manikanta (30) of Gachibowli, Patta Joseph (22), a resident of Shaikpet, Chintala Sairam (24), Samantha Rao (24) of Kondapur, and Akhil Kumar (26) have been taken into custody from Madhuranagar and are being investigated, and sixteen drug abusers were absconding.
