Telangana Government has decided to close the schools after they are becoming Coronavirus clusters. But then, the closure has aggravated the problems of the students. The Government has decreased the syllabus by 30% but even then, most schools have covered only 50% to 60% of the syllabus.
With no physical classes, the teachers are not confident about completing the remaining syllabus in the rest of the 40 working days. Also, there is no clarity over the conduct of the Pre-final exams which are crucial for the final exams. The Pre-final exams are supposed to happen in the last week of April.
There were speculations that the Government may directly promote the students of Class I to Class VIII. This has given rise to a bit of negligence in the students but the teachers are trying to counsel them to ensure they are prepared for the exam under any circumstance. Parents and teachers are suspecting that the pass percentage in SSC may come down if the Government does not do anything about it. Students are unable to grasp the subjects taught through online classes. The situation is further worsened in Government schools.
