Schools in the city and the parents have had a bitter-sweet experience in the past two years as the pandemic forced kids to learn from home and the school hiking fees and try to or give up conducting exams offline. The whole education sector has seen quite many issues and new realities that parents, children, and educators have had to accept.

Paying fees is something that parents opposed at a point in time because everything was done at home, and they did not find a reason to pay. But that wouldn't work out as teachers have families to run, and remuneration is impossible without these fees. Finally, however, through governments intervention, the schools had to charge a capped rate until the pandemic reduces and also pay the teachers. During this academic year, the schools have assumed that all their parents are financially stable to pay the fees.

But they resorted to a harsh and unexpected behavior when few of the genuinely suffering parents who couldn't bear the fee for kids saw their child being removed from school on non-payment. Litigant Parent or dropout or fee not paid are insulting terms found on the child's transfer certificate when they are released. The schools have sought revenge by making such remarks that could deny children opportunities at any stage.

The TC being stained leaves a lot for the next school to think though the student is genuinely talented and educated. However, schools seem to have a fuzzy logic about making such remarks, among which one happens to be " An alert to another school bout the kind of parents and children they will deal with." Such treatment towards children and parents might not go down well for the school as this remark will spread like wildfire, and the network of parents might dent the school's admission in the coming years just for their misbehavior.
