The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University has finally decided to start their new provision to the University students enrolled in the 4-year BE/B.tech program and all their affiliated colleges. This new provision granted by the JNTUH will also allow students to complete their four-year course of study through a break policy.
The break policy is nothing but a gap that a student can take for certain purposes and resume studies once it is done. Under this break policy, a student can pause studies from the course for only a single year. The students will be eligible to apply for this provision only after completing four semesters of study, which means two years.
The primary aim of this policy is to encourage the startup talents that are caught up in the course of study to allow them to build a basic foundation within a year and return to begin their second half of the course.
Apart from startup enthusiasts, product developers will also be allowed to pause their course at the halfway mark and return after a year. Any student diagnosed or is already suffering from a chronic illness and cannot sit through class until declared fit can also avail of the break. All these students will have to address to the Vice-Chancellor of JNTU and state their legitimate reason.
Affiliated colleges will grant a break as such after the agreement of the principal and then the VC's acceptance. Students with backlogs, attendance issues, and sports quotas will not be eligible for this break. However, this break will be applicable from this academic year, and those who complete two years of study in 2022 can apply for this break.
