Balakrishna’s next happens to be Boyapati Sreenu’s Akhanda. The film has created much hype among Balakrishna’s fans and Telugu audiences in general with its grand look and feel. The story, too, seems to be intriguing, and audiences are waiting to watch what Boyapati will be showing in the film and how he will handle Balakrishna in such a powerful role.
The film’s shooting was put on hold due to a spike in COVID cases, and with the situation becoming better and the film fraternity being vaccinated, it is being said that the shooting of Akhanda will resume soon. Balakrishna will also take part in the shoot.
So, what’s good news to Telugu audiences is that the makers of Akhanda are planning to release the film around Vinayaka Chavithi, which will come in September this year. With some portions to be shot and with extensive post-production work, the makers feel it will be an appropriate time to release the film.
Also, the theatres are likely to open soon in Telangana, while the Andhra Pradesh government, too, might consider reopening theatres if the COVID situation slows down.
But there is one hitch here. The makers of KGF2 have finalised the release date of the film as September 10. It is known that KGF is a rather successful and popular franchise, and Balakrishna will be clashing with a pan-Indian film by Prashanth Neel.
