One of Telangana's traffic cops is winning the hearts of people all over for his compassionate gesture as he offered his food to two starving children who were begging on the streets of the city. Punjagutta Police station's Sirupangi Mahesh Kumar, who was on duty in Somajiguda, noticed two underprivileged kids looking for food. The cop sat down with them and offered his tiffin box to the starving kids.
The city police shared this heartwarming video on their social media handles. In the video, Mahesh can be seen taking out his lunch box then serving food to the famished children in worn-out clothes.

According to Mahesh, those underprivileged kids told him that their father is a poor street beggar. The COVID lockdown has been hard on every one of us, with the homeless suffering the most. Mahesh says he felt compelled to feed those children. When he offered his food to them, the smile on their face, Mahesh tells, was priceless. The Telangana traffic cop also hopes to change the perception that the public has about the on-duty police members. Netizens hailed the kind-hearted cop saying that "Somewhere...humanity is still alive."
Mahesh was also commemorated for his act by Anjani Kumar, IPS, CP, Hyderabad.
