Dr. Roseline and organizers are treating patients for Rs 10 at a clinic in Hyderabad to offer medical care at affordable rates to the economically backward classes in society. The move comes as a sigh of relief for many amid Covid-19 third wave. Dr. Roseline said that she treats 15 patients per day here and also provides lab facilities at a discount of 50%. She was approached by the organizers with the idea of serving the needy.
The clinic is located at the Ambedkar Bhavan in Neredmet.
The organizer, Gopal, said that he and his friend Naresh have an organization and started this hospital with the name, "10 rupees clinic."Gopal said that apart from medicines, several patients spend Rs 200 to Rs 300 for the doctors. So to help the poor people of that area, his organization decided to start this clinic and approached Dr. Roseline to which she readily agreed.
The organizers are currently planning on expansion, including providing services like dermatology, gynecology, and ENT.
