Many organizations have been working tirelessly ever since the pandemic hit the world. In the city, many groups have been involved in providing basic needs to those who are in want of help and a sense of belonging.
Seven Rays Foundation started by Dr. Saratha is one such organization that has been rather involved in reaching out to the needy. The Foundation takes up various activities such as women empowerment, child education, meeting individual needs, or healthcare in slums.
The organization has been mobilizing funds through social media and word of mouth and is ensuring that many struggling people lead dignified life. Their efforts have been attracting a lot of volunteers with similar goals.
Seven Rays Foundation was started in 2016 by Dr. Saratha, a resident of Lalapet. Her primary objective was to serve the needy and help the underprivileged. Her organization has been supplying groceries to unemployed families during the pandemic and has also been paying fees to the students.
The Foundation works towards educating the poorer sections of the society, providing them with employment opportunities, taking up the onus of healthcare in rural and urban slums. But their primary goal is also to sensitize people about the agony and distress of the underprivileged.
Their efforts have made it possible for 15 students to go to corporate colleges. The Foundation pays fees for their education.
Dr Saratha feels it is her duty to work for those in need and help out her brothers and sisters. Various youngsters are getting attracted towards her cause and have joined her to take forward her efforts.
