A cycling enthusiast named Macharla Venkatesh achieved his dream of going on a cycle expedition to Leh in little more than 25 days. Reportedly, this seventeen-year-old from Patancheru fulfilled his dream by starting his journey on May 23rd and returned back on June 17th.Getting into details, in his 2713 kilometers journey, Venkatesh covered eleven states crossing 11 states on his 2,713-kilometer journey. Being a butcher by profession, Venkatesh saved earnings for the past four years to meet the expenses of the trip. Before leaving for Leh, Venkatesh went on a cycle expedition to Kanyakumari as a test drive. A 55-year-old Parimal Kanji from Kolkata who had a cycle expedition last year is said to be an inspiration for this young Boy.Venkatesh revealed that he used to travel between 75 and 130 kilometers per day and used to stay nights at petrol pumps. Carried a first aid kit throughout the journey and even had a helmet and hand gloves as safety precautions. Shared his experience after reaching Leh as outstanding with snowy mountains and clear waterfalls.

For years, it has been known that Hyderabadis have a lesser traffic sense when compared to metropolitan cities. High decibel and frequent horn blowing by vehicles in the city has been a major source of noise pollution in both residential and commercial areas.The excessive honking from the steady flow of vehicles is tough on the ears and frazzles the nerves of residents of twin cities. Though the traffic police have started to strictly enforce laws against using horns without permission, nothing is being done when it comes to excessive horn blowing. Incidentally, traffic police booked more than 3300 cases for unauthorized horns last month alone.According to one netizen, when she tweeted to the traffic police about the issue of honking, the police are said to have told her that they could not stop honking. Despite all complaints, no action is being taken with regards to excessive horn blowing.Another resident of Hyderabad, who happens to be a writer and commutes regularly, claims that everyone in the city honks excessively and needlessly, especially the cab drivers. “Many drivers on the road appear to find enjoyment in honking loudly and continuously. Unfortunately, it appears to be unchecked.Meanwhile, Salauddin, the founder and president of Telangana Gig and Platform Union Workers (TGPWU), said the union was running a campaign to inform drivers and delivery personnel to refrain from using their horns excessively. He says that both cab drivers and delivery boys are under intense pressure to deliver on time. Also, since the 10-minute delivery has begun, the pressure on them has grown, he shares.According to Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB), all residential, commercial, and sensitive locations have noise pollution over the maximum allowable range. It has been observed that car honking is the biggest cause of noise pollution in the city.Traffic management zones with strict sound restrictions, coupled with keeping the volume of vehicle horns down to some extent, will minimize the hazard of noise pollution, feel many residents. It has to be noted that in most countries outside the Indian sub-continent, people barely beep their horns.

The construction work of T-Works is in the final stages in Madhapur, and it is set to become the next big thing in Telangana. T Works would enable enthusiasts to develop prototypes, a range of tools, and a diverse community of experts. It will help members to showcase skills and transition from prototypes to products.The unmanned aerial vehicle initiatives at T Works are focused on adopting new technologies and focus on research on the development of low cost. T Works aims to lower barriers by sharing designs, technologies, and best practices for anyone to build UAVs quickly at a low cost to accelerate adoption.

The city of Hyderabad has now come a full circle in terms of development, and after saturation of the west, it has started growing towards the east. It is now expanding in the region where it first started, i.e., around Golkonda.Golkonda was inhabited a little over 550 years ago, and the city of Hyderabad was formed in 1591 CE after the capital city Golconda could not hold the growing population. Hyderabad first expanded south of the Musi river, and a couple of decades later, Sultan Nagar was formed towards the east. However, after the death of the Qutb ruler, the expansion was stalled for some time but was later resumed by the sultan’s wife, Hayat Bakshi Begum.Also, due to the floods in river Musi and pandemics and epidemics, the authorities were forced to develop the city towards the north by developing Ameenpur, Banjara Hills, and Jubilee Hills, and it further grew towards the north when Kukatpally, BHEL, ICRISAT were formed.Years later, the city is again developing along the Golconda, Shaikpet zone and on the old Surat-Mumbai trade route. If one drives around the area, one can see both sides of the roads filled with skyscrapers, and the west side of the city not only meant development growing population but also job promotion.But the historians of the city share that the city of Hyderabad had always expanded in a circular form. They say once the western part gets saturated, it would again develop towards the north. Also, there has been tremendous growth following the new airport opening at Shamshabad. Geographer and GI scientist Kevin Haynes said the next growth axis would be towards the north.

On the night of June 30, a young man rushed into a marriage hall, where his alleged love was getting married, and set himself on fire. He happened to come to the hall with fuel and set himself ablaze, though people tried to stop him.The 21-year-old man was identified as Mohammad Ashwaq, 21, a resident of Rajendranagar who was into the stonework. He told the police that he could not see the woman he loved dearly getting married and set himself on fire.On the night of June 30, patrol teams of Langar Houz rushed to the function hall near PVNR Expressway and found a man lying with burns. He was immediately rushed to a hospital. Though he received 40 percent burns, he later succumbed to them while undergoing treatment.The police denied rumors that he held the bride and held her slightly, injuring her. However, when some people in the hall tried to stop him, they got slightly burnt but were largely unhurt. At the recently held An Unexplored Mic, the city saw a comfortable sharing space for hundreds of literature lovers. Two enthusiasts, Abhiram and Srikumar, founded An Unexplored Mic (AUM) to take open mics to all cities across India, including small towns and cities.Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Coimbatore have been a hotspot for nearly two years for their events. The latest event was held in a rather beautiful cafe in Sindhi Colony as AUM was celebrating its silver jubilee. Incidentally, it happened to be their 25th Open Mic event, and the house was full.The performers or artists were passionate, and the whole experience was magical thanks to the ambiance and healing of the heart. In all, there were 18 speakers from different backgrounds united by their shared love for poetry and storytelling. Also, what was interesting was the fact that there was a transition between many themes and genres of poetry. There were first-time performers, experienced shayars, and occasional performers who narrated their experiences.One of the main themes, surprisingly, was heartbreak and love. A Shayari of poems of Shamsher Khan was presented in Urdu during the evening. Co-founder Srikumar shared that they witnessed many new faces in Hyderabad, and they were glad to reach out to fresh talent. Recently, a woman from Hyderabad was cheated under the pretext of the KBC lottery.Cybercrime police arrested one Rakesh Kumar from Patna for fraud. As per the police version, a housewife from Khairtabad received a phone call on October 2, and the caller informed her that she had won a lottery by KBC, and they explained to her the withdrawal procedureThe caller advised her to deposit different amounts in the name of fees. Other people in the guise of bank managers spoke to her to convince her to send money. Incidentally, the woman sent Rs 39 lakh in the name of different charges.However, she later realized she had been cheated on and approached the police. The police arrested the accused, and they seized 16 mobile phones, 73 debit cards, 30 SIM cards, 11 bank passbooks, and two checkbooks.Police have also cautioned people not to fall for KBC or Naptol tricks. In another case from Noida, four women cheated a woman in the name of reward points. A woman resident of Kanchanbagh received a call from a person claiming to be from the SBI Credit Card division and offered to redeem reward points in cash. The victim followed the instructions and even divulged the OTP received on the phone. Subsequently, she lost Rs 1 lakh over a period of three years.The police busted a call center and arrested 11 accused of using it for cyber fraud. The fraudsters were involved in 18 cases across Telangana and 101 crimes all over India.
