The HMDA is now giving back to the people the lands they acquired to construct the Outer Ring Roads. The development body distributed 17 new plots to the property owners of the nearby areas who gave up their lands and helped the government in land acquisition for ORR.
HMDA acquired the properties over the last few years at Srinagar village, Maheshwaram Mandal in Ranga Reddy district. New plots to the people were also allocated in the same town. Then, in an exclusive draw of lots at the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) office in the Financial District, Gachibowli, the allotment letters were handed over to the people who gave their lands.
The people expressed their gratitude to the State Government for giving back their lands and appreciated HMDA and HGCL for finding them lands at the same place. The HGCL also expressed their thanks to the people who gave their land to the government for ORRs and many other developmental works.
The HMDA is finding more places and attempting to restore lands of those who gave it to the government in the recent past for various purposes. However, giving them the lands at the same places might not be possible but will ensure that new lands are provided, said a top HMDA official.
