The tribal welfare department has proposed constructing a Working Women's Hostel to facilitate a feasible accommodation for tribal women working in the Rangareddy district. The necessary land for the hostel construction has been identified.
The tribal welfare department has mooted the idea of building a hostel to ensure the safety of tribal women traveling long distances for work and requested the Telangana government to provide a suitable place for the construction of the hostel. A land parcel at Mailardevpally in Rajendranagar has been identified for the project as per the request.
The official sources revealed that the revenue officials have identified land of 22 Guntas in Survey No.156/1, near TNGO's Park area in Mailardevpally Mandal for setting up the hostel.
As per one revenue official, they were instructed to find and alienate government land for the construction of a hostel for women. Accordingly, they have identified the land and made a joint inspection along with the tribal welfare department officials. They are in the process of communicating the same to the Revenue Divisional Officer of Rangareddy district for further proceedings.
According to the Hostel Welfare Officer of Rajendranagar Murali Mohan, a request has been submitted to the government to provide suitable land for setting up of hostel for providing feasible accommodation for working tribal women in different parts of the district. The Revenue officials of the Rajendranagar, following the request, have alienated a piece of land at Mailardevpally. We also inspected the proposed land. The file has to move from RDO to Collector, Rangareddy before getting State government's nod."
