A lightweight electronic two-wheeler which is also affordable would be seen on the roads of Hyderabad soon or parked at Metro rail stations. Weighing just 6.8 kgs, the ultra-lightweight two-wheeler is being manufactured in Nacharam which is expected to be ready for sale in the market by the end of April.
Sri Harshvardhan is the mastermind behind the invention of this vehicle, who after a three-year stint in the Corporate world launched a company in 2019 named “Altan Energia” to manufacture electronic two-wheelers. After relentless and extensive efforts for two years and in cooperation with the Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, the company succeeded in manufacturing a “fatyfive” bike.
Harshvardhan explains that the bike works on the principle of “lightweight, more mileage, and less electricity”. The bike can carry more than a ton of weight. With a charge of 75 minutes, it can be run for 65 km as it has a battery of 675 Watt per hour.
If the reports are to be believed then this bike at Rs. 35,000 shall be the most affordable and lightest bike available in the market which is ideal for a short journey.200 bikes are being manufactured in a month, currently. and the manufacturers are planning to enhance the production of these bikes based on the demand in the coming months.
