The Smart City Living Lab, a part of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, is now progressing rapidly in starting its operations. The Smart City Living Labs have roped in Silicon Labs to join the group as their founding partner.
As a result, Silicon Labs, the leading provider of silicon, technology and ideas for a smarter and connected world, is now a part of IIIT operations. The lab is a one-of-a-kind centre that extensively works on the research and development ecosystem for the next-gen technologies that promote sustainability, safety and improve quality of life in all growing cities.
This lab is supported by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Smart Cities Mission, the Government of Telangana, the European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC), and Amsterdam Innovation Arena. The smart lab is more like public and private academia and research centre that has set its ultimate goal to fasten India's goal of reaching 100 smart cities.
Silicon Lab's have expressed their happiness in partnering with IIIT Hyderabad and Smart City Living Labs. The Vice President at Silicon Labs, a tech giant in the country, is excited to be a part of this significant project and is eager to share their knowledge and technology and also learn from this plan.
