Hyderabad
Hyderabad is slowly becoming that city where being different is the biggest factor to have a sellout business, especially in the food and beverage industry. The technology-hungry city was always anticipating finding the influence of the 22nd century in their dining experience.
The multicuisine restaurant named Chitti in Town is Hyderabad's is the second robot-themed restaurant after Robo Kitchen at Jubilee Hills, which boasts of an actual robot that does the work of a receptionist by helping you find a table and as a manager by helping you decide what to eat unlike like robots at Jubilee Hills. The robot at the Kothapet restaurant is an actual interactive robot named Maira (Multi-Sensing Intelligent Robotic Assistant). The robot is built by a city startup Vistan NextGen.
The robot at this restaurant is a unique robot that moves around and can modulate its voice based on the gender of the person. It can also rotate its head and entertain customers until the food arrives. With this level of mobility and varied features, this robot is the first of its kind in India. Currently, the restaurant is equipped with two such robots that will entertain guests and help them be engaged while their food arrives. While the restaurant is seeing its rush, the makers of this robot Vistan NextGen are also receiving orders for such robots across different cities. Thus, the future of dining will feature more such robots or better than the present-day robots.
