Women have been taking over the tech and startup world as they continue to develop ideas that create an impact and grow in the market. Telangana is zooming past every day in building a world filled with innovation. The state is aware that women would play a vital role in their quest to make the tech state of their dreams.
Telangana now has its first women Chief Innovation Officer, Shanta Thoutam. A woman whose career has always revolved around the world of innovation will now head the Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC). Officer Thoutam has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University (NMSU) and did the best she could to reduce the gap between NMSU and the market by working on some cutting technology in a college and take it commercially.
Apart from her contributions to NMSU, she also contributed her tech expertise at a venture capital StartFast. Now she has been an active part of the T-Hub for more than three years and was the vice president of corporate innovation at T-Hub for a while now.
After being handed a unique role for textiles by the government, she has been given a role that she is always fit for and can help inspire hundreds of woman entrepreneurs to convert their dream into a startup. After being appointed as the CIO, Officer Thotam's first aim is to focus on the world of innovation beyond big cities. Understand the rural world and how their mundane ideas can be a path-breaking practice in the fast market.
