IT and MA & UD minister KT Rama Rao launched the mascot Rachit, which will be the face of Telangana's initiatives on all matters pertaining to intellectual property (IP). The minister inaugurated the mascot in the presence of many of his cabinet colleagues at a function held at Dr. MCR HRD Institute.
An initiative of the state government, the process has been carried out by Resolute Group of Companies service arm Resolute4ip. The mascot launch is part of a larger objective, 'IP4ALL', to provide a forum for all stakeholders to connect and get solutions on IPR.
Rachit will be advocating creativity, innovation, and IP protection and work towards creating an IP-savvy culture in Telangana. Also, according to a release shared by KT Rama Rao's office reveals that Delhi Public School, Nacharam, the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), and Rocksalt are partners in the timely initiative.IP buddy Rachit as a service has a Whatsapp number 83411-10413 that students, start-ups, MSMEs, entrepreneurs, innovators, individuals, researchers, and industry can access round the clock seeking answers and solutions revolving around IP.
Rachit will assist stakeholders in their IP services and registrations, thus adding value to their business and academic pursuits, according to the press release.
The initiative is also to certify students, start-ups, MSMEs, and interested stakeholders as IP ambassadors for their institutions and companies. As many as 10,000 IP ambassadors' certifications are planned to be issued by March 31, 2023.
It has to be noted here that with the recent launch of the National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission by the Centre's DPIIT, it has become necessary to spread IT awareness in schools, colleges, and all stakeholders. For now, the Centre has set a target of sensitizing one million students from classes 8 to 12 on IPRs across the country.
