Fire accidents are bringing new complications to the Electric Vehicles market which just started booming. With this many EV companies are coming forward voluntarily to recall their vehicles and check the quality of the scooters belonging to their company. Haryana-based Okinawa has already recalled its scooters while Hyderabad-based startup Pure EV also took the same path.
Pure EV is a Hyderabad startup company that is just entering the market. It has gained a foothold in the market in recent times. However, a Pure EV scooter caught fire recently in Chennai. The next day, in Nizamabad, while charging, the battery suddenly exploded. One person was killed in the incident.
With this, Pure EV decided to recall the scooters already sold and conduct quality tests. It has been decided to recall a total of 2,000 scooters for the Pure EV's Entrance Plus and Pluto 7G models. Scooters will be recalled by dealers of the company and the performance of the batteries will be re-examined to ensure the safety of the customers.
