Hyderabad
The famous nightlife of Charminar that came to a standstill ever since the pandemic began is now thinking of beginning nights of shopping, food, and lots of walking. This comes off more as demand after the city has witnessed some fantastic and crowd-pulling Sundays at Tank Bund.
People have also wanted to venture to the iconic location at night as they seem to find the activity too high and unsafe during the day. Also, the high temperatures have been keeping people from roaming.
People have been expressing how the iconic location that was once a night-long spot for friends and family to indulge in street food and shopping is now seeing a deserted look by midnight. With full vaccinations and masks becoming a lifestyle, people are slowly taking one step ahead to desire spending weekends with family and friends at a location that was a super spreading area for months during the two waves of the pandemic.
Netizens took to social media platforms and discussed how Jubilee Hills and Gachibowli are open till next morning with insane parties but no respite for Charminar. Few people reached the police and got to know from the authority about how eve-teasing, misbehavior, and other petty crimes have kept the police on their toes which is why the law enforcement is closing down the perimeter by midnight to reduce these cases. AIMIM’s Charminar MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan expressed that talks are going on with authorities, and nightlife will begin after considering all aspects, including tight security and vaccination and other covid protocols.
