The festive rush is returning to pre covid levels as the Secunderabad Station, Jubilee Bus Station, and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stand buzzing with people coming to the city and workers and nonlocals returning to their natives due to Dussehra, which is a few days away.
The market scene in the vicinity of major bus stands and railway stations started seeing bottleneck crowds from the start of Ganesh Chaturthi, and these stations are now filled with people this time around. However, with the South Central railway launching a set of Dussehra trains, this year's activity has been better than last year. According to the reservation department, Dussehra during earlier years was crazy in terms of Tatkaal tickets and a waiting list, which was above 200. Still, this year hasn't been the same irrespective of the growing crowd.
The Passengers Profile Management Cell has noted that this year has been no different in terms of the people going in large numbers to Tirupati, Howrah, Gujarat, Odisha, Rajasthan Bengaluru, and Vijayawada, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Delhi.
These locations have always been in demand at all railway and bus stations. The South Central Railway is witnessing high activity with only 70% of the trains running and restrictions of all kinds still prevalent to prevent the virus. The current situation is said to increase towards the end of the year. The holiday and wedding season will begin soon will return to life without much restrictions on attendees and venue.
