Eight-year-old Yashna Baride is a little wonder in her house. Her parents are fascinated by the fact that she can sing, dance, skate, play violin and keyboard, paint, draw, tell stories, indulge in fashion and robotics. And to top it all, Yashna can speak in four languages that include Telugu, Hindi, English, and Marathi.
A student of St Peter’s School in Bowenpally and a resident of Suchitra, Yashna, is a self-trained child. Her parents share that they never had to teach her anything, and neither did they encourage her to take up anything in particular. But Yashna started picking up on interests herself as and when she piqued her interest.
In 2018, Yashna participated in a fashion show at the age of five, and her judges were quite taken in by her sense of fashion and her mesmerizing words. Her father narrates one incident proudly while speaking about their multi-talented daughter. He shares that one day around 12.30 in the night, Yashna apparently went into the room where his old violin was lying and picked it up and started playing it. Though Yashna has been interested in music programs since when she was a little girl, playing the violin was a total surprise for her parents.
Incidentally, Yashna also plays violin while skating, and her father says she is an easy-going, flexible child who has filled the walls of her house with various drawings.
