In 2013, despite losing his leg in a tragic accident, 28-year-old Prasanna Kumar from Hyderabad did not let his physical disability become a stumbling block and challenged himself to compete in marathons. Now, Prasanna Kumar has become a source of inspiration for many by successfully taking part in marathons.
While speaking to the media, Prasanna said he lost his leg when he met with a tragic accident in 2013. There was only an 80% chance of survival. However, he survived after amputation and got an artificial limb. Prassana recalled those early days after amputation as very depressing and difficult, but he did not give up. He is a professional video editor and a wedding photographer.
The 28-year-old Prasanna says that his friends and family supported him a lot. My first marathon was 5 km. He was being cheered by the crowd and the participants. He was so overwhelmed that he completed the 5 Km marathon in an hour. Later, he decided to compete in the 10-km marathon as he wanted to challenge himself. He completed the 10 km marathon in 25 minutes. He became an inspiration for the people, and he says that this feeling is overwhelming.
Prasanna also added that the biggest challenging marathon for him was the 21-km marathon in Bengaluru.
