Swati Kumar is an army wife who participated in Mrs. India 2022 and ended up 3rd runners up and was crowned the Mrs. India Mrs. Elegant. The mother of two represented Hyderabad in the contest and is mighty pleased with her win. But Swati is no novice to beauty contests. Before her marriage, she was the Summer Queen at the RSI Club, Bangalore, and Army Officers Institute, Roorkee. After she married an army officer, Swati won the runners-up title in Navy Queen Pageant in Wellington, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Over the years, she won other titles like the Spring Queen, Winter Queen, and May Queen at various army stations.
However, the mother of two says it was no hassle preparing for the Mrs. India pageant. An educator with 11 years of experience, Swati was also the principal of a school for a while. She loves to take part in community activities in her army center and is a hands-on mom to her children and a dedicated wife.
Swati also has a YouTube channel wherein she teaches art and craft, and during her spare time, she is into painting on dupattas, sarees, and runners. Incidentally, she paints in different mediums such as acrylic, watercolor, and charcoal portraits. She says she does not believe in spending on costly cosmetics and instead swears by homemade recipes for beauty care. Swati walks diligently to maintain stamina and says she drinks a lot of water, eats a balanced, nutritious diet loaded with fruits and nuts.
She says she was drawn to the contest by the words of Mrs. Deepali Phadnis, Director of Mrs. India Pageants and Productions, who said they were looking for role models and not just models. And in the true spirit of a beauty pageant participant, Swati says her future plan is to set up a library for underprivileged children, so they can have access to books even if they do not get to attend schools.
