Hyderabad
City couple Vijay Goud and Swetha set off on a ride on their Benelli TRK 502x from Hyderabad to promote the concepts of road safety and responsible riding. And you guessed it right. Their destination was from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
The couple's ride was flagged off by MLA Arekapudi Gandhi on March 4, and they will drive through Pondicherry, Rameshwaram, Kanyakumari, Kochi, Ooty, Mangalore, Goa, Mumbai, parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir.
In all, Vijay and Shweta will be covering 10,000 km spreading their message along the East Coast and West Coast and up north straight up to Kashmir. While they haven't decided on the route back to Hyderabad, Vijay says they will be back in the city by March 20. Incidentally, Vijay runs a popular moto vlogging YouTube channel, 'Ride with VI.'
As of now, the couple has reached Goa and will now go to Mumbai before heading north. But their journey was not 'an easy ride' so far. They say they were hit by a truck in Tamil Nadu. But thanks to their riding gears, they were saved, shares Vijay, who reiterates the importance of responsible and safe riding.
Well, while the couple is happy riding their dream, they say change of weather from state to state and getting hotel rooms at short notice have been the biggest challenges so far.
