The pandemic has meant many things to many people. While the distress and trauma that it caused are undeniable, there has been a section of people who have found their true calling during the period and kept the spirit of life going. One such person happens to be 25-yr-old Syeeda Rummana, who has become a successful entrepreneur within a short period.
It all started during the first lockdown when Syeeda was home-locked like many around the world. That’s when she started cooking and posting her yum recipes on Instagram. They were an instant hit with people. People started asking her about the recipes and the prices. Initially, Syeeda was not sure and was not particularly interested.
However, during the last Ramzan season, her mother was making awesome food, and Syeeda started posting once again. And this time, too, she was flooded with questions about the prices. That’s when Syeeda realized there was great potential in the food business.
From her small kitchen, she and her family started supplying haleem, and later she moved to biryanis, kebab, marag, zafrani biryani, desserts, brownies, etc. Now her calendar is full of orders, and she is happy that she took the right decision at the right time.
Sayeeda says she learned cooking in her 12th standard as she found it to be relaxing. Later, her mom taught her the techniques of presenting good food attractively. Today, her family is happy for Sayeeda as they always wanted to start a food business, and Sayeeda has made their dream come true through Habeeb’s Kitchen, as she calls her business. One can order from Habeeb’s Kitchen on Instagram @Habeebskitchen_sale90 or call in at 9030618004.
