Well, Mother’s day just went by, and thanks to all the traveling that people do these days, it has become a day to wish all the mothers out there. But all children know that every day is mother’s day, and the love and support they get from their mom is next to none.

On this special occasion, we have two mothers who continue to pursue their passion, despite fulfilling all the responsibilities of a full-time mother. One person happens to be a 45-year-old banker mom Rekha John. Though it was curiosity that got her started, it was the sense of freedom that riding gave her that made her pursue it. She rides a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350.

She says her 16-yr-old son loves the idea of his mother going off on long rides. In fact, Rekha also takes her son on some rides, and he loves the experience. Rekha maintains that for a woman to follow her passion, she needs two things. One is a strong desire to do it, and another is a good support system. She says she wants her son to learn the discipline one requires to go on rides.

Then there is financial consultant Padma, who took it up as a challenge to go biking. She drives a Meteor 350 and says she has become a calmer and peaceful person thanks to all her riding trips. She says she wants both her daughters to understand that it’s the journey that’s more important than the destination.
