Before the ICC T20 World Cup, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Co are set to complete their remaining IPL 2021 matches in September-October. The latest reports suggest that the BCCI seems to have chalked out a plan to conduct Phase 2 of IPL 2021 that will be conducted in the period between September 15 and October 15 in the UAE.
Currently, the BCCI is in talks with the ECB to reduce the gap between the 2nd and 3rd Test of India and England's series. Still, in case if that doesn't materialise, the tournament will have a 30-day window to play the remaining 31 matches with eight double-headers over four weekends.
Sunrisers Hyderabad fans aren't particularly excited after this development. This year the team's performance has been dismal, and no wonder the SRH team is at the bottom of the points table.
After the IPL got suspended as players tested COVID positive, SRH fans were relieved that they got saved from humiliation this year. But now that BCCI is planning to revive the premiere league, SRH fans have gone into panic mode.
