The performance at the above tournaments has helped the wiz kid book a place at the Asian Youth Under-8 Chess Championship from October 21-24, making her one of the favorites to win the championship.
The kid who started playing chess at age four is blowing minds with a level of focus that is quite rare to find. Victories have dominated her overall performances in her national event, with two losses to a sixth and eighth-round opponent. Samhita's performance has been regarded as quite prolific considering 145 competitors, with many players older than her.
The 8-year-old girl is the gold medalist in the Under-7 Asian Championship and a silver medalist at the Under-7 nationals. The kid is looking to repeat her performance and clinch another gold and grow into a chess marvel as she grows older.
