The auction for the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2022 will take place on Saturday and Sunday. Players from Hyderabad as well are participating in this auction. With the addition of two more teams, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, the number of teams has increased to 10.

Siraj is the only Hyderabadi who has played in the tournament since 2017. The RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) has retained him for Rs. 7 Cr. For the 15th edition of IPL, G Hanuma Vihari, CV Milind, Tanmay Agarwal, Mohammed Afridi, and 11 other players from Hyderabad will partake in the auction pool.
The captain of the Hyderabad cricket team, Tanmay Agarwal, and bowler Chama Milind are expected to be picked up in the IPL auction due to their smashing performance in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. In a total of 590 cricketers in the auction pool, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players, and seven belong to Associate Nations. There are 220 overseas players in the pool.
Some of the top players in the pool are R. Ashwin, Pat Cummins, Trent Boult, Quinton De Kock, Faf Du Plessis, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammad Shami, Kagiso Rabada, and previous SRH captain David Warner.
Of the overseas players, 47 are from Australia, 34 from West Indies, 33 from South Africa, and the remaining from 11 different countries.
