It looks like the issue of renaming Hyderabad remains on the top agenda as far as BJP is concerned. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Hyderabad Bhagyanagar while addressing media from across the country in the city. He said that it was in Bhagyanagar that Sardar Vallabhai Patel had spoken about the concept of 'Ek Bharat.'PM Modi said that Hyderabad is Bhagyanagar, which is of significance for all of us. Sardar Patel kept the foundation of a unified India, and now it's BJP's responsibility to carry it further, said BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad in Hyderabad, quoting Prime Minister Modi.The RSS, BJP's ideological fountainhead, and several BJP leaders have been on a campaign to change the name of Hyderabad to Bhagyanagar. Asked if Hyderabad's name will be changed to Bhagyanagar, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the issue will be discussed when BJP comes to power in the state. He added that the then chief minister would decide this along with other cabinet colleagues.However, the MA&amp;UD minister and CM's son KTR tweeted, "Why don't you change Ahmedabad's name to Adanibad first?" He further tweeted, "Who is this Jhumla Jeevi, by the way?"Meanwhile, BJP's decision to pick Hyderabad for the meeting is being seen as a direct signal from the party that the state is a top priority in its agenda for expansion in territories where it remains relatively weak. Post-2014, it is the fourth time the party is holding its key national meet outside of Delhi. Earlier, it held meets in Odisha in 2017, Kerala in 2016, and Bengaluru in 2015.

Restrictions were in place on several roads right from HICC in Madhapur to Secunderabad Parade Grounds and surroundings, with several VVIPs taking the route to reach the meeting venue. Barring those who were going for the meet, the general public was not allowed to use the route.The road between Tivoli Crossroads and Plaza Crossroads was closed to the public, and motorists were advised to avoid roads within a three-kilometer radius of Parade Grounds. MG Road, RP Road, and SD Road in Secunderabad were totally blocked for regular traffic in the afternoon. However, it was residents staying around Parade Grounds that suffered the most. People in Prashanthnagar, Prakashnagar, Begumpet, Rasoolpura, Sindhi Colony, and other areas faced problems.Traffic slowdowns were witnessed near Secunderabad railway station, Jubilee Bus Station, Tank Bund, Khairatabad, Greenlands, and other alternative routes. Many complained that it meant spending a lot of extra money and about two hours on the commute. TSRTC buses were also diverted. Around 1000 traffic and law &amp; order policemen were deployed to streamline traffic.

Telangana CM KCR has directly hit out once again at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government. Even as BJP held its national executive in the state capital Hyderabad, KCR was busy receiving Yashwant Sinha, who is the opposition candidate for the president’s post.Later, KCR lashed out at Prime Minister Modi and his party despite the presence of the entire BJP top brass in the city. He explicitly told the media that they had fought for Telangana for 60 years and they would put up a strong fight against Modi and his government in the coming days.KCR also took the opportunity to pose nine questions to the saffron party and its members. He totally derided BJP in the context of farm laws and said Modi was totally anti-farmers which was the reason for bringing in farm laws. Of course, Modi had to give in and repeal the laws later, he said. He also pointed out that BJP and their associates labeled agitating farmers as terrorists and those seeking Khalistan.He further added that it was his government that brought justice to the farmers and distributed Rs 3 lakh to them. He ridiculed the Prime Minister for his attitude towards farmers and their plight across the country.KCR said in his speech that political change was imminent in the country and that Modi should not dream of remaining the PM forever. Already, the political atmosphere in the state was heated, with contrasting events taking place at the same time.Not stopping there, KCR also said that the PM must learn from neighboring China about financial matters, given the lackluster performance of the Indian economy. Metro rail aims to fulfill the surging demand for co-working spaces and locational flexibility of office spaces in Hyderabad with the Office Bubbles under its Transit-oriented Development (ToD).Currently, ToD has around 18.5 million sq ft of space for work, shopping, leisure, entertainment, and healthcare, along with a parking and circulation area. According to Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited, the metro rail will be focusing on IT companies and would be using high-quality transit-oriented spaces in the un-paid (pre-ticketing) areas on the concourse level of its stations.Close to 0.4 million sq ft will be dedicated to Office Bubbles, and about two units of 1750 sq ft will be given out across 49 metro stations. Along with this, 5000 to 30,000 sq ft of spaces will be given out at eight non-typical metro stations.The office spaces will be offered in bare shell, warm shell, and plug &amp; play formats depending on their clients’ requirements. The concept will offer flexible, lower operational costs and secured spaces in 57 stations across the city with CCTV and Access Control.Of course, Office Bubbles would mean a huge cut down in costs and ease of travel.

The Wheelchair Cricket team player cum the vice-captain of the Telangana Wheelchair Cricket team, Monu Shek, is all set to play his first-ever Indian Wheelchair Premier League. The tournament is the third season of IWPL-2022.Monu Shek, an employee at Dell Technologies, gave a byte on the struggles that motivated him to participate in IWPL. As per his version, Monu Shek lost his limbs and arm completely seven years ago during a fire accident. Done and dusted with the sad past, Monu is moving forward in life with new hope. Reportedly, he developed his own techniques to play wheelchair cricket and participated in the IWPL 2022 premier league.Despite facing many hurdles, Monu Shek says he never gave up his passion for cricket. Being one of the founder members of the Telangana Wheelchair Cricket Association three years ago, Monu said that they are a team of 20 members. Revealing his performance details, Monu said that to date, he played seven national matches and has a strike rate of 150+. His best score is said to be 87 runs in 55 balls.
