Telangana IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao has graced the graduation ceremony of WE Hub, the state-led women exclusive incubator. As many as 47 women-led startups from four cohorts of preincubation, incubation, and acceleration programs. The graduated startups are from diverse sectors like health-tech, ed-tech, and manufacturing, among others.
"Telangana Government is here always to help you. It's you who have to leverage and take full advantage of the existing ecosystem. If you come up with a useful product, always remember you have your first customer in us (the state government). I hope the first women-led unicorn will come from Hyderabad from WE-Hub," KT Ramarao said.
Marking this occasion, WE-Hub also launched a new series of programs for tech-based startups. These programs include Greater 50% - an initiative of the FICCI to mentor and support the business development of women entrepreneurs. They also announced WE Alpha with which WE-Hub teams up with five technical educational institutions across Telangana to support fifty students with entrepreneurial development programs and mentor support.
