The state-funded incubator T-hub's role has been equally vital to help these game-changers fuel their creativity. The startup "Mapmygenome," a company that performs Molecular diagnostics company that provides personalized health solutions based on genetic tests, has won the "Startup Of The Year" award by the Government of India under the special category of health tech.
The startup received this award as a part of the MeitY-Nasscom Startup Women Entrepreneur Awards 2020-21 and United Nations Women. The award had an uncomplicated motive of recognizing women and their exceptional talent in entrepreneurship in the country. The MeitY initiated the registration process for the startups in February. The continuous months of scrutiny and decision by panels from MeitY, Nasscom, and UN decided the winner of this year.
Mapmygenome, a health tech company, has redefined preventive healthcare by providing genetic counseling through a combo of gene health profiles and health history and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Anuradha Acharya found the company in 2020 has put its foot forward in the city's fight against covid by launching a drive-thru covid testing at multiple locations, including the RGIA. This company is also the brains behind Covidsafe, a unique covid diagnosing kit that CSIR-CCMB later validated because the equipment meets the standards of ICMR.
The unique award function also recognized 14 women for their exemplary work in technology, recognized their startups, and understood their uniqueness. The current rate is seeing startups, especially from Hyderabad and Bangalore, make it big through a simple idea and reach new heights of intelligent business practices.
