Stories of school dropouts becoming successful in life make for interesting stories. One such story is that of Tulasi Muddasi, who has been cooking since her childhood. But what sets her apart is that despite being a school dropout, she now runs a successful pickle business.
Life was not a sob story for Tulasi. She is happily married to her husband Samson and has two children. But she always enjoyed making pickles and storing them in large containers, and then giving them to friends and family.
In fact, Tulasi shares that she never learned how to make pickles. She simply observed her grandmother making pickles, and she picked up the skill. However, she never had any thought of converting her passion into a business. But destiny always has plans, and Tulasi had to follow suit.
Around 2016, Tulasi was finding it hard to make ends meet despite her husband having a full-time job. That’s when her spouse encouraged her to make pickles to help make ends meet. Initially, though, Tulasi was making pickles for friends and family. Once she started getting positive feedback, her confidence levels increased.
One fine day, the couple came up with a logo and website for her pickles. Since then, there was no looking back for her. c And she has a whole lot of veg and non-veg pickles on her list. Some of her top-sellers include chicken, fish, prawns, papaya and gongura chicken, and mutton pickles.
