To create a beautiful amalgamation between the women frontline workers and women entrepreneurs, WE Hub has announced a new pilot program. On Thursday, WE Hub, the exclusive incubator for women entrepreneurs in Telangana, called for women-led startups from textile design and/or manufacturing to register for a pilot program that will provide new design sarees to Asha Workers.
Deepthi Ravula, CEO, WE Hub. says that their focus as an exclusive incubator for women is to provide opportunities to these entrepreneurs to be able to work with the government. As part of this initiative, they have partnered with the Health Department to revamp the design of sarees of Asha Workers. Earlier, they worked with Anganwadis to redesign the schools in Telangana. So, they are calling women startups and entrepreneurs working in the field of textile design and/or manufacturing to work on this pilot program.
The requirements for the project include designing Asha Workers Sarees with a specification of White Saree (Plain Body) with Sky Blue border, the capability of manufacturing more than 10,000 units a week. Those who are interested can email their final designs to pgm-wehub@telangana.gov.in on or before Feb 7.
