If you make a success out of your failure, the thrill is a totally different high. One such case is that of Tharun Kumar Vulli, who, after failing to get an internship during his third year of college, set up his own start-up to help others in his plight. Today, he is a success story and helps many students to upgrade and polish their skills to meet the requirement of corporate and other allied sectors. His start-up called Sixinterns aims to support students from tier-2 and tier-3 cities and hone their skills to become job-ready.
And thanks to his intent and efforts, he helped nearly 5000 students get paid internships. A student of Lovely Professional University, Tharun provides students with the requisite industry knowledge and helps them procure soft skills necessary to thrive in the corporate world.
Tharun’s students are now well-placed in various corporates and have been getting offers before completing their internships. Tharun proudly shares that his staff comprises IIT and NIT alumni.
Tharun’s business model is unique too. He ties up with corporates and provides them with trained students. He also gets projects from corporates and gets the students to work on them, so they have hands-on experience. At Sixintern, no student gets less than Rs 8000 as an internship.
That’s not all. Tharun also helps those educationally challenged get voice processing and call center jobs. As of now, Tharun has collaborated with 15 MNCs and helped provide jobs to 10,000 students.
