Ramesh Nagare, the Sakinaka Division’s Assistant Commissioner of Police(ACP) who was lauded for his remarkable work against Covid spread in Dharavi has died of cardiac arrest. The cop has taken the first dose of a vaccine shot only a couple of days back. However, the police officials clarified that the health department ruled out the link between vaccination and his death.
A police officer said that Nagare stayed back for the night duty also after completing his day duty on Wednesday. However, it is said that the ACP left home at around 5:00 am as he felt discomfort. And at around 10:00 am his family members rushed him tot he hospital as he complained of chest pain. Unfortunately, he was declared dead in the hospital.
Maheshwar Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Zone 10 clarified that the doctors have clarified that the ACP died due to cardiac arrest and there is nothing to link his death to the vaccine. Ramesh Nagare is survived by his wife, daughter and two sons.
